Stejn\u011b jako mnoho jin\u00fdch slo\u017eit\u00fdch plast\u016f se ve skute\u010dnosti jedn\u00e1 o skupinu l\u00e1tek. Spole\u010dn\u00fdm znakem jejich molekul je p\u0159\u00edtomnost uretan-etanov\u00fdch vazeb: [-O-CO-NH-]. Pr\u00e1v\u011b ta na sebe v\u00e1\u017ee zbytek organick\u00fdch \u0159et\u011bzc\u016f, co\u017e m\u016f\u017ee daleko modifikovat vlastnosti kone\u010dn\u00e9ho v\u00fdrobku.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Tento polymer se obvykle z\u00edsk\u00e1v\u00e1 adi\u010dn\u00ed reakc\u00ed dvou surovin: izokyan\u00e1tu a polyolu. Mohou to b\u00fdt tak\u00e9 \u00e9tery s dlouh\u00fdm \u0159et\u011bzcem nebo alifatick\u00e9 estery.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2>Vlastnosti polyuretanu<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Jak ji\u017e bylo uvedeno, vlastnosti v\u00fdsledn\u00e9ho polyuretanu z\u00e1vis\u00ed mimo jin\u00e9 na pou\u017eit\u00fdch slo\u017ek\u00e1ch. Pou\u017eit\u00ed polyol\u016f s dlouh\u00fdm \u0159et\u011bzcem zvy\u0161uje m\u011bkkost a pru\u017enost materi\u00e1lu, proto se n\u011bkdy (nep\u0159esn\u011b) pou\u017e\u00edv\u00e1 term\u00edn PU kau\u010duk. Velmi d\u016fle\u017eit\u00fd je tak\u00e9 stupe\u0148 zes\u00ed\u0165ov\u00e1n\u00ed, kter\u00fd je vy\u0161\u0161\u00ed u tvrd\u0161\u00edch materi\u00e1l\u016f. Siln\u011b zes\u00ed\u0165ovan\u00e9 polymery jsou termosetov\u00e9, ale existuje tak\u00e9 termoplastick\u00fd PU.
