Polyurethane pipes
This is one of the many products that Asma produces thanks to the extraordinary multifunctionality of polyurethane. It is not only suitable for foaming to obtain a spongy and flexible structure. We offer solid PU pipes and coatings.
This polymer is ideal for coating the inside of pipes with it due to its high mechanical resistance. The applied layer protects the pipe from premature wear.
We use advanced centrifugal force technology in a specially adapted centrifuge to apply polyurethane coatings to the inside of the pipes.
Polyurethane pipe applications
Polyurethane-coated pipes are ideal for transporting abrasive bulk materials. This is due to the physical and mechanical properties of polyurethane, in particular its high abrasion and chafing resistance. The ability to absorb kinetic energy lends mechanical strength. Polyurethane also does not easily succumb to chemical agents: mineral oils, acids, alcohols.
These features allow our polyurethane pipes to be used in a variety of industries where efficient transport is needed. For example:
- grain transfer;
- transportation of excavated material in open pit and underground mines;
- transport of excavated material in gravel and sand pits;
- the transfer of coal and other bulk materials at port terminals.
